I’ve been thinking a lot lately, about a lot of things, which is natural. When you are ill and can’t be physically active, your only recourse is the mind. I stumbled on this interview with Bill Murray and not surprisingly he captures it better than I ever could so I’ll let him speak and I’ll simply say that this is now the second time I’ve had to really think about what I’m doing with my life, and what I WILL do with any borrowed time I’m given. Really being here, in the moment, is one of the main tenets in jazz, (if there really are any) which I’ve studied for most of my life. Maybe it’s a tenet of any art form. At any rate, at this point in history it seems antithetical to everything in society, which is just a constant distraction from the meaningful. Anyway, listen to Bill.
